Formed in 1984, Blasphemy are an underground Canadian band whose 1990 debut album Fallen Angel of Doom... became a cult landmark. They are frequently cited as a foundational influence on the war metal/extreme underground and have had releases reissued by labels such as Nuclear War Now! and Osmose. The group has operated intermittently with long hiatuses but retains a dedicated cult following within the extreme metal scene.
