Praised for an “intense trumpet presence,” Carlos Sanchez is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, arranger and composer who earned a B.A. in Jazz Studies with emphasis in Caribbean Music from the Conservatorio de Música de Puerto Rico. He released the album 1st Intent (2012), has issued singles in 2018–2023, performs with a 7-piece band and the Lix quartet, and served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
