DJ FunkyBeak has been bringin’ beats to ears for years…over 30 of them...on digital and vinyl! An open-format throwback specialist originally from Winnipeg, he started DJing at 17 and worked his way up to nightclub residencies in Winnipeg, Saskatoon, and Vancouver. Nowadays he has combined his three loves…music, DJing and rollerskating…to become Vancouver’s premier skate DJ. Chances are if he isn’t skating…he’s behind the decks delivering the vibe! You can find Vancouver skaters jamming to his beats regularly at Vancouver’s Rolla Skate Club, at Sunset beach in the summer months for the bi-weekly Sunset54 Roller Jam, and other types of events around the city where great music and great times are essential.
Specializing in '70s, '80s, '90s & early-to-mid 2000s music within genres of disco, funk, pop, rock, new-wave, house, hip hop & more, Funkybeak’s passion for music always shines through. Whether it’s old school hip hop & R&B, funk, classic disco or whatever else fits the bill, he promises to get you in a groove…and keep you there!
