Formed in 1998 by guitarist Gus G., Firewind began as his project and released their debut album Between Heaven and Hell in 2002. The band has released ten studio albums, most recently Stand United (2024), and has toured internationally including festival appearances and headlining runs. Gus G.'s profile rose further after he joined Ozzy Osbourne's band in 2009, boosting Firewind's global visibility.
