Jon Faddis is an American trumpeter and educator noted for his virtuosic range and long career as a bandleader and musical director, including leadership roles with the Carnegie Hall Jazz Band and the Chicago Jazz Ensemble. The CapU Jazz Ensembles are Capilano University’s student jazz program, composed of multiple large ensembles and combos that regularly host guest-artist residencies and public performances.
