Joseph Kim Mitchell (born July 10, 1952) first gained prominence as the lead singer and guitarist of the 1970s band Max Webster before launching a solo career in the 1980s with hits including "Go for Soda" and "Patio Lanterns." He has won multiple Juno Awards (including Most Promising Male Vocalist and Male Vocalist of the Year), received SOCAN's National Achievement Award in 2004, and was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2020.
