Mel Parsons is a New Zealand singer-songwriter who has released multiple studio albums since her 2009 debut, operating her own label Cape Road Recordings. Her records (including Drylands, Glass Heart, Slow Burn and Sabotage) have earned chart success and industry recognition; she was an APRA Silver Scroll finalist and has won national awards such as Best Folk Artist and Best Country Music Song. Parsons tours extensively, has collaborated with artists including Ron Sexsmith, and is a regular presence on New Zealand festival and touring bills.
