Born in 1965 in Paisley near Glasgow, Tony McManus is an internationally acclaimed fingerstyle acoustic guitarist known for virtuosic arrangements of traditional tunes. He has been praised by peers (including John Renbourn) and was named among Guitar Player magazine’s 50 transcendental guitarists; his major solo breakthrough came with a main-stage debut at Glasgow’s Celtic Connections festival in 1994. McManus maintains an extensive recording and touring career and offers lessons and teaching materials through his official site.
