About
The ACT Art Gallery is offering a new Studio Crit Night program for artists to gather and build skills in interpreting artwork. This critique session is low-stakes, informal, and focuses on responding to artworks, rather than determining value. The first two sessions will practice critiquing historic artworks borrowed from the Canadian Art Preservation Foundation. Crit Nights are co-hosted by artists Colleen Brown (current Maple Ridge Artist in Residence) and Diane Speirs (Garibaldi Art Club President). Pre-registration is required as there is limited seating for this free program.
For those who wish to bring their own artwork to be critiqued in a supportive space, please reach out to [email protected].
