I Hope This Finds You: The Art of the Letter with Edie Reaney Chunn

Writers of all genres turn, occasionally, to letter-writing or the “epistle” in their creative work. Through a selection of readings and writing prompts, this class will investigate the reasons for this turn and what effects letter-writing can have in one’s work and creative practice. We will consider the hopeful risk involved in sending a letter, as it may never find its recipient; and how the act of writing can deepen connections, strengthen curiosity, and give rise to action.
