Heart of the City Festival
Celebrate the stories, cultures, and creativity of Vancouver's Downtown Eastside at the Heart of the City Festival, returning October 30–November 7 for its 23rd annual celebration. Produced by Vancouver Moving Theatre, the festival transforms neighbourhood venues with an inspiring lineup of live music, theatre, dance, visual art, poetry, walking tours, films, workshops, and cultural events that honour the people and history of one of Vancouver's most vibrant communities.
With more than 100 events presented in partnership with local artists, cultural organizations, and community groups, the Heart of the City Festival invites audiences to connect through art, storytelling, and shared experiences. Many events are free or pay-what-you-can, making this one of Vancouver's most accessible and meaningful cultural festivals.
