When Terry Fox died in 1981, he left a legacy of hope that became part of Canada’s heritage. His story is familiar: after losing his leg to cancer, he set out on a cross-country odyssey to raise money with little fanfare or support, running a daily marathon for 143 days and inspiring the country before the cancer spread to his lungs, putting an end to his journey. Run Terry Run reminds us of his well-known accomplishments, but digs deeper into Terry’s character. From his reserved, taciturn beginnings, to confidently standing in the nation’s spotlight, Terry’s humility and relentless drive shine through as never before.
