Thursday Artist Talk: Asma Burney, "Movements in Ink"

THU, SEP 10 | 7 PM Surrey Art Gallery

About

Join saga shop artist Asma Burney as she leads an artmaking workshop on alcohol inks in this Thursday Artist Talk organized by Surrey Art Gallery Association.

Learn techniques and tips on how to make marks with the intense colours and spontaneous movement of the medium. Burney will also share about her practice and works in the saga shop located on the upper floor of the Surrey Arts Centre.

Asma Burney is a contemporary artist who lives in Surrey, BC and works in a variety of mediums. Her art is influenced by nature, travels, world events, and life in general. Because she cannot pinpoint her subjects (sometimes she does), she enjoys doing abstract or semi-abstract art where she can express her feelings in a subtle manner.

Surrey Art Gallery Association (SAGA) is a non-profit society that offers its members the opportunity to participate in and respond to contemporary art and be part of a community that actively supports Surrey Art Gallery.
