Underground electronic artist Jeff Cancade launched the Golden Age of Wrestling in 2020 with a clear mission: to inject personality and glamour into ambient music, an often faceless, anonymous genre. With TGAOW, the Vancouver artist taps into a fantastical version of himself—a cocky, Machiavellian wrestling villain at the centre of a vivid world animated by ‘90s Hollywood film scores, chip-tune music, and chamber vocals, a transportive mix he dubs “glambient.” The Polaris Prize-nominated musician, who also records as Devours, released his fourth album Sweet Chin Music in February 2026 via his own imprint, surviving the game.
