The Medicine Wheel Ceremony is a symbol of holistic teachings based on the cycles of nature. Drumming and prayers are shared at this event.
Who: All are welcome to join elders Phil Mechuskosis L’Hirondelle (Nehiyaw (Cree) and British Heritage) and Gisele L’Hirondelle (Acadian and Mi’kmaq heritage) from ‘All My Relations Teachings’ to celebrate the Autumn Equinox and to usher in the new season. Where: Enter through the Visitor Centre admissions desk. Please arrive 15–20 minutes early to allow yourself enough time to walk up to the Medicine Wheel area near the Canadian Heritage Garden and the maze. Maps are available at the admissions desk. The event takes place outdoors, please dress for the weather.
What to bring:
Although there is no charge for the ceremony, regular garden admission applies. Registration is not required. For those facing financial barriers, please contact us below.
