About

Guided by quirky beings from alternate universes, Moosie–a socially anxious human-pig hybrid–attempts to save her only friend (a stuffed animal) and her future self from perpetual loneliness while an ominous presence threatens to diminish their light.

Blurring the lines between lucid dream and tangible reality, this is a journey of transcending perceived limitations through play. This surrealist solo show combines elements of absurdism, spoken word poetry, children’s theatre, and existentialism.

Exploring authenticity, the need to be witnessed and understood, and a desire for connection amidst the fear and confusion that can be found within social contexts, MoonSwine lives within the question: ... How?

For the quiet kids who sat alone at lunch. And the kids who still dance alone in their rooms. The ones who pretend. The ones who don’t belong. The ones still figuring out how to sing their songs. The ones who leave the party early. The ones who have no one to go with. The ones who hide behind a curtain of hair. The ones who are scared. The ones who stare into the future and refuse to turn away. The ones who turned away. The ones who chose to stay. For yesterday, for tomorrow, for today.

For little you. For little me. For little us.

*This is not a show for children, but speaks to the inner child at times.*
