Mexican singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Silvana Estrada is “the Gen Z, Latin American answer to Joni Mitchell.” (Dazed) Rooted in the rich traditions of Latin American music while drawing from indie folk and jazz, she has captivated audiences around the world with songs of extraordinary emotional depth, accompanied by the unmistakable sound of her signature Venezuelan cuatro.
Since winning the Latin Grammy for Best New Artist with her acclaimed debut Marchita, Estrada has become one of the defining voices of her generation. Her self-produced sophomore album, Vendrán Suaves Lluvias, was celebrated by critics worldwide, earning spots on year-end best-of lists from Pitchfork, NPR, and the Los Angeles Times, while its lead single “Como un Pájaro” received a Latin Grammy nomination.
Estrada has collaborated with a myriad of artists including fellow Mexican icon Natalia Lafourcade, conductor Gustavo Dudamel, and singer-songwriter Laufey.
