About

General On-Sale begins Friday July 17th at 10am

Since winning First Prize at the 2015 Chopin International Competition, South Korean pianist Seong-Jin Cho has established himself as one of the defining classical artists of his generation. Cho is celebrated as “a master,” who displays “an impressive variety of tonal colors and remarkable technique, dispatched with jaw-dropping panache.” (Wall Street Journal)

Cho signed an exclusive contract with Deutsche Grammophon in 2016 and, in 2023, Cho was awarded the prestigious Samsung Ho-Am Prize in the Arts for his exceptional contributions to the world of classical music. His latest recording for Deutsche Grammophon celebrates Ravel’s 150th anniversary presenting the composer’s complete solo piano works and concerti which showcased his “astonishing dexterity” and “impressive” (Gramophone) timbral variety.

Cho appears in the world’s most prestigious concert halls including Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, Vienna’s Musikverein Wien, Tokyo’s Suntory Hall, and Carnegie Hall. Whether illuminating the delicate architecture of a Chopin nocturne or navigating the dramatic contours of a major concerto, he captivates audiences worldwide.
