Les Arrivants is composed of Amichai Ben Shalev (bandoneon), Abdul-Wahab Kayyali (oud), and Hamin Honari (percussion). All making the move to Montréal in recent years, their musical collaboration mirrors the trio's individual experiences of resettlement.
Les Arrivants has released two albums: Home (2022) and Towards the Light (2024). Their first album received the 2023 Opus Prize – World Music Album of the Year from the Quebec Council of Music. With an inspired fusion of musical experience, the trio channel complex emotions into colourful sounds.
