We are a place Where History Comes to Life – stroll down the streets of our 1920s tram-stop community. Period costumed townsfolk welcome visitors and give demonstrations in the homes, businesses and shops. Popular stops include a chat with the blacksmith, a demonstration in the print shop and a visit with the clerk at the General store. The restored Interurban #1223 is a must see and a whirl on the historic 1912 CW Parker Carousel is a thrill. Amenities include picnic tables, a gift shop and an ice-cream parlour offering meals and snacks.

Free on?site lot at the main entrance on Deer Lake Avenue; during busy events additional public parking is available at Burnaby City Hall, Deer Lake lots, and Shadbolt Centre garages/lots (availability can be limited; see the museum’s parking map).

Public transit

TransLink bus routes 123, 129, and 144 stop on Deer Lake Avenue by the museum; Route 144 connects directly to Metrotown Station (Expo Line) and Sperling–Burnaby Lake Station (Millennium Line).
