The Festival Lawn at Deer Lake Park is a wonderful performance venue overlooking scenic Deer Lake in the heart of the city’s arts precinct. This precious civic asset has become a favourite destination where area residents, out-of-towners and tourists celebrate arts and culture in the great outdoors. International artists and local Burnaby talent alike perform here on a handful of weekends each summer. Tens of thousands of people attended events on the Festival Lawn.

Parking

Public parking is limited; first?come, first?served parking is available at the Burnaby Village Museum lot after 4:30 pm, with accessible?permit parking at the Shadbolt Centre (north lot). Deer Lake Avenue is closed to regular traffic from 4–11 pm on show days, and rideshare pickup/drop?off is at Burnaby City Hall or the Esso at Canada Way & Sperling.

Public transit

TransLink bus routes 110, 123, 129, 136, and 144 serve the area; the 144 stops at Shadbolt Centre and connects to Metrotown Station (Expo Line) and Sperling–Burnaby Lake Station (Millennium Line). The closest bus loop is at Burnaby City Hall, and service on Deer Lake Ave may divert during large events.
