About
Paterson Park is a large open-space park in Ladner best known today for its trails and designated off?leash dog area. Historically the site was the Delta fairgrounds and a harness?racing track dating to 1888, renamed in 1951 for longtime civic leader A.D. Paterson; much of the land later transferred to the City of Delta and Kwantlen Polytechnic University. The park occasionally hosts major community events and festivals and sits within Ladner’s civic precinct near City Hall and the Ladner Leisure Centre.
