A few minutes from downtown, Kitsilano and False Creek, the multipurpose hall, known as Studio 16, is a gathering place to meet the needs and interests of cultural presenters, the Francophone community, the neighbouring community and the general public. Few if any venues for the smaller, creative cultural groups, organizations and performers currently exist at affordable rates. A centre for celebrations and special events organized by La Maison's partners, the Vancouver International Jazz Festival, the Francophone Summer Festival, international song festivals, etc. Workshops and language courses, presentations such as a Salons du livre, a Christmas crafts fair, etc. A studio space used for filming.Studio 16's mission is to encourage community participation and opportunities for the arts, culture and multiculturalism to flourish in a venue that provides them with a place to create and a place to connect.
