Vancouver Public Library’s Central Library is a landmark civic building in Library Square, designed by Moshe Safdie and opened in 1995. Beyond its collections, it hosts author talks and community events in dedicated spaces such as the Alice MacKay Room (capacity 150) and the 77-seat Montalbano Family Theatre. Located in downtown’s Library Square with a public plaza and on-site retail, it’s a popular gathering place for locals and visitors.
